1. Be realistic about your IELTS goals and register for the test accordingly – You should choose your IELTS exam date when you are sure you are ready and fully prepared to take the test. Don’t be in a haste just to get over with the exam. Remember, it can take from one to three months to perfect your English language for IELTS.

5. Understand IELTS score guide – Before you sit for the IELTS exam you must get familiar to how IELTS test is scored so you can actually make sure where you are headed. You can start by researching for IELTS band descriptors and analyse how each section, i.e. listening, writing, reading and speaking are scored and how should you prepare according to the band descriptors for each of the sections.
